Important Changes Regarding Tax Refund Assessment

New government legislation means that MyTax.co.nz is no longer processing personal tax summaries (PTS) for standard salary/wage/benefit earners; Inland Revenue will be automatically calculating and paying these refunds directly to you from May 2019 onwards.

For further information regarding these changes please visit the Inland Revenue website (www.changingforyou.ird.govt.nz). If you are a PTS customer, MyTax.co.nz is no longer able to assist you and any questions need to be directed to Inland Revenue.

IR3 Customers

If you have received withholding/scheduler payments (generally from contract or trade work), self-employment income, income without tax deducted, rental income and/or you have arrived or departed after 1st April 2018 you may still be required to file an IR3 tax return (the new IRD tax refund process does not apply to you). We have touched base with most of our customers in these situations however, if you have any questions regarding your assessments please email us on info@mytax.co.nz

Once again, if you are an IR3 tax return customer, the new IRD changes do not apply to you so MyTax.co.nz can still submit your returns on your behalf.
